This post was updated on May 10 to reflect changes in session details.

National service leaders, social entrepreneurs, thought leaders, and innovators from across the country will converge in Chicago for the National Conference on Volunteering and Service (NCVS), sponsored by the Points of Light, June 18-20, 2012, to exchange ideas about and share solutions to some of the nation's toughest problems.

The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) will have a great selection of national service-focused content designed to help attendees make the most of their experience at the conference, including an opportunity for grantees to talk with CEO Wendy Spencer in a town hall-style meeting (Session #3139) on Monday 1:00 - 2:30, prior to the opening plenary.

Our grantees and stakeholders may want to plan to arrive in Chicago early to attend a special slate of preconference meetings at McCormick Place that will include:

During the conference, CNCS will also host a discussion for attendants interested in the new RSVP competition. Stop by the RSVP solution center "Strengthening the Program for Greater Impact," which will offer the opportunity for engaged discussion of the new competitive process and requirements.

Here's a sampling of the workshops that CNCS will present during the event:

In addition to conference programming, there will be a CNCS booth in the exhibit hall where attendees can pick up supplies and materials. We will also host an AmeriCorps State and National Town Hall (Session #3217) where attendees can meet the leadership team.

Don't forget, early bird registration prices end May 31, so visit http://www.volunteeringandservice.org/ now and set your agenda for the conference.
